MMS Academics Awards


2013-2014 School Year:

  • 8th grader Elyse C. was named one of just 15 students nationwide to receive the prestigious Caroline D. Bradley scholarship, a highly competitive full scholarship that identifies exceptionally gifted middle school students and offers them a full four-year scholarship to any private high school of their choosing.



2012-14 School Year:

  • Madison K. - MTEA - Journal Sentinel Martin Luther King Jr. 2nd Place Student Essay Winner


  • Anika G., a 6th grader, is a winner of the 2013-2014 Milwaukee Public Museum Student Poetry contest. The theme of this year's competition was "Journeys" and students were to write a poem inspired by an artifact or exhibit at the museum.


2012-2013 School Year:

  • Maggie S. - 3rd place in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's 30th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Writing Contest

Every year, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel holds a student essay contest in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Students from across the city of Milwaukee send in essays. The winning student writers receive a prize, a plaque, participation in Milwaukee’s Martin Luther King Day Celebration and have their essays printed in the Pulitzer-Prize winning paper.
