Milwaukee Montessori School relies on charitable gifts to support our school. Donations of time, talent, and treasure from our school community enable us to complete capital projects that tuition alone could not cover.
Ways to Give Monetarily
Cash
A gift of cash is the simplest form of giving, whether a donor wishes to support the Annual Fund, create a scholarship, or benefit an academic program. Cash gifts provide the most immediate benefits for the donor and school.
Gifts of Stock and Securities
A gift of appreciated securities entitles you to a charitable deduction equal to the fair market value of the securities, and none of the appreciation in the security is taxable to the donor.
Gifts In-Kind
Gifts-in-kind are donations of assets other than cash. These might include items such as school supplies, equipment, printed materials and services. Gifts-in-kind are valued by the donor and receipt acknowledged by MMS.
Matching Gifts
Did you know it is possible to double or even triple the value of your gift to MMS if your company matches employee contributions? Contact your personnel office to see if your company has a Matching Gift program. If they do, the rest is easy:
- Contact your personnel office for eligibility requirements and application form.
- Follow your company's procedures and complete the appropriate form.
- Mail your completed form to:

Planned Giving
Through planned gifts, a donor arranges a gift to MMS for realized benefit in the future. Planned giving offers attractive benefits. It can increase current income for the donor or others, reduce the donor’s income tax and avoid capital gains tax while passing assets to family at a reduced tax cost.
Gifts by Will (Bequests)
A bequest allows a donor to make a contribution to the school through their estate. How the gift is made and worded depends on the type of gift and the donor’s unique circumstances. A bequest can take the form of cash, real estate, securities, bonds, or other assets. We encourage donors to consult with their attorney or financial advisor prior to executing such a provision.
Life Insurance
If individual life insurance policies are no longer needed to protect family members or a business, Milwaukee Montessori School may be named as the beneficiary, providing you with estate tax benefits.
If you would like to make a contribution to the school please contact Maria Delgado, Director of Development at (414) 259-0370 x128 or you can download a pledge form now and send it in.
If you are unable to make a monetary contribution, consider volunteering for special events that take place during the year. Click on the special events page link to find out more information.
Thank you for your support!
