State Fair Youth Art Exhibit: Rowan W. - Wisconsin State Fair 2nd Place Ribbon for her ceramic sculpture, Man on the Apple, inspired by art studies of Surrealist, Salvador Dali.
Milwaukee Regional Art Fair (MRAF):
- Maia S. - First place for her Salvador Dali inspired mixed media sculpture, The Lovely Affliction.
- Shireen Z. - Third place award for her Salvador Dali inspired mixed media sculpture, Bamoon.
8th grader Turquoise B. has been awarded the first ever Joe Lubar Scholarship to the University School of Milwaukee, where she will attend in the fall after graduation from MMS. We've been told that the scholarship committee was impressed with her confidence, her poise, and desire for excellence.
8th grader John K. will be attending Pius XI in the fall and is proud to announce that he has received two scholarships for academic excellence. The first scholarship will be earned annually in recognition for placing fourth out of all incoming freshmen on the Pius entrance exams. The second scholarship is a single award for third place in their science scholarship competition.

MMS Student visits White House
As a result of winning President Obama's 2011 National STEM Video Game Challenge, MMS 8th Grader Shireen Z. was invited to Washington D.C. on February 7th to attend the White House Science Fair. Winning the STEM award and being invited to the White House were such honors for Shireen, and several local news outlets covered her story. Click here to read the press...
