In her research, Maria Montessori observed that children possess an innate spirituality, and that they seek a joyful, spontaneous relationship with God. The Atrium curriculum was designed to enrich that relationship by creating an environment with beautifully prepared materials that foster a child’s religious life, community, and worship through the study of scripture and the liturgy. This optional religious curriculum has been used in many Montessori schools throughout the world.
The Atrium at Milwaukee Montessori School is offered to Children’s House students on Mondays, beginning September 29th from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. and Lower Elementary students on Thursdays, beginning October 2nd from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m.
