Flag Football

We are all excited to begin our third year of the Flag Football Club and are especially happy to welcome Lower Elementary students! We also welcome our new coaches, James Czukas, Montessori Assistant, and Anthony Warner, Nighthawks teacher.

Our four-week focus is learning the rules of the game, and practices will include teamwork training, warm-up stretches, and running. Cleats or running shoes are crucial, as is appropriate athletic wear for possible muddy conditions. Students may purchase MMS sweatshirts and t-shirts by contacting Coach Julie Christensen at jchristensen@milwaukee-montessori.org .

Practices: Lower Elementary (grades 1-3) will practice on Thursdays from 3:30-5:30pm starting October 22nd in our MMS backyard and ending Thursday, November 12th.

Athletic Fee: Participation in the club requires an athletic fee of $35 per student. If your child is already contracted for five days of after-school childcare, no fee is required.

Drop-off and Pick-up: Coaches will pick children up, along with their belongings, directly from their classrooms and walk them to the patio where attendance will be taken. Students will then change and meet in the backyard. Pick-up will take place promptly at 5:30pm from the front porch where they will need to be signed out. Students not picked up will be walked to Nighthawks/ Jayhawks, and all applicable late fees will apply.

Registration: If you would like to join the Flag Football Club, please register on-line by visiting the following link: www.milwaukee-montessori.org . Form and payments are due no later than Friday, October 20th. Checks should be made payable to Milwaukee Montessori School. Please note that each family must also sign and return the 09-10 Sports Waiver attached to this email.
