Volleyball

Our volleyball season begins at the beginning of each school year and is open to students in Upper School and Junior High. Our staff work hard to teach students basic volleyball skills and improve on those skills as they move on to new levels. Over the last couple years our teams have also played against local schools where they have learned the important skills of team work and competition. 

Practices:

In order to improve both personally and as a team over the season, we expect all involved students to attend each scheduled Volleyball practice, as follows:

• Junior High (grades 7 – 8) – Practices will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:15 – 5:00pm starting Monday, September 8th in the St. Therese Gym. Our last day of practice will be Wednesday, October 29th culminating with a Parent/Student Game from 4:15-5:15.We hope you will attend this fun event.
• Upper School (grades 4 – 6) – Practices will be held on Tuesdays and Fridays from 3:15- 5:00pm in the St. Therese Gym starting Tuesday, September 9th. Friday, October 31st will be the last day of practice culminating with a Parent/Student Game from 4:15-5:15pm. We hope you attend this fun event.

Athletic Fee:

Participation on the MMS Volleyball Team requires an athletic fee of $95.00 per student that will include one MMS t-shirt to be worn during practices. If your child is already contracted for 4 or 5 days of after-school childcare, the Business Office will allocate after-school fees toward the Volleyball athletic fee, so no additional athletic fee will be required. Athletic fees are due to the office by Tuesday, September 2nd in order for students to attend their first practice. Uniforms:

MMS athletic uniforms, also used for cross country and track and field, are mandatory for participation in our league games. School uniforms can be ordered through the school. See the attached page for pictures and pricing.

Join this Year's MMS Volleyball Team!

If your son or daughter is interested in joining this year’s team, please download the attached permission slip, sports waiver form and turn in these forms with your payment to the front office by September 2nd, 2007.
