Our volleyball season begins at the beginning of each school year and is open to students in Upper School and Junior High. Our staff work hard to teach students basic volleyball skills and improve on those skills as they move on to new levels.
This year we were accepted into the Metro Volleyball Conference, a league that was more competitive and provided an authentic volleyball experience. The season which consisted of four teams in 4th to 8th grade, proved to be a great success as players improved upon their skills.
The cost for the 10 weeks is $360 per student including transportation. If your child is already contracted for 5 days of after-school childcare, the Business Office will allocate after-school fees toward the Volleyball athletic fee, so no additional athletic fee will be required. Athletic fees are due to the office by Friday, August 20th in order for students to attend their first practice. For practice, students must wear athletic shorts, athletic t-shirts, volleyball socks, supportive athletic shoes and knee pads. Jerseys cost about $30 each and have samples for sizing and place an order once team rosters are established. Students should wear black shorts and volleyball socks that may be purchased at any sporting goods store. You may order MMS practice uniforms, including t-shirt and shorts by also contacting Coach Julie Christensen (jchristensen@milwaukee-montessori.org). Sets are priced at $14 each. If your son or daughter is interested in joining this year’s team, please complete the online registration form and turn in an 10-11 Sports Waiver form with payment to the front desk by Firday, August 20th. We look forward to seeing you on the court!
