Britney Freeman-Farr, MMS Music Director since 2012, is a singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist. Born in Chicago and raised in Milwaukee, WI and a proud graduate of the Milwaukee High School of the Arts, Britney has trained in a number of genres including jazz and classical flute, voice, and piano. She currently holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance from Lincoln University in Pennsylvania as well as a Master's Degree in Music Education from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago.
Performing under the stage name “B~Free,” she has self-produced two full length albums. Having performed in a number of venues throughout the country, she has also shared stages with the likes of artists such as Dwele, Talib Kweli and Janelle Monáe. Her latest project, "Ode 2 A Luv Affair,” was released in the fall of 2016, and received much acclaim - including being hailed by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel as the “Number One Album of the Year." Today, Freeman-Farr serves her musical community as an educator, curator and performance artist of all sorts.
