Georgia Kane began at MMS in 2012 as a student teacher in the art room. Before the end of her placement, she was offered a position at MMS. She began working in the Junior High classroom as a Teaching Assistant where she taught ACT/SAT prep vocabulary, created daily journal prompts to foster creativity in writing and built meaningful relationships with her students. Georgia has become a Jayhawks instructor, taught and assisted in the summer art programs, and produced many illustrative works for the school.
She now serves as a Lower Elementary Directress after having completed her Montessori teacher training at the Midwest Montessori Teacher Training Center for Elementary ages 6-9. On the weekends, Georgia enjoys painting, biking, snowboarding, rock climbing, yoga, kayaking, flying kites, organizing, poker, board games, cook-outs and lazy afternoons sipping espresso. As for the future, she looks forward to showing her paintings at galleries and creating children books.
