Ian is the Director of Educational Technology at Milwaukee Montessori School. 2013-14 was his first year as the Technology Director, but he has been with Milwaukee Montessori School since 2011. While at MMS, he has worked with students in the school's afterschool programs, taught summer classes, and served as an Assistant Teacher in a Montessori classroom. Ian earned a BFA in Applied Media Arts with focuses in animation, graphic design, drawing and painting, and art history from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. He is also a 2013 Peabody College Fellow of Vanderbilt University.
Ian has recently studied computer science and programming under the direct tutelage of Steve Bergen, TEDx alumni and sitting Executive Director at Tech International Charter School in the Bronx, New York. Prior to joining MMS, Ian was fortunate to work from home as a freelance artist and graphic designer with his two beautiful children who are current MMS students - Ezran and Bellen. His freelance work experience covered the artistic and graphic gambit of fine art portraiture of families and children, murals, tattoo design, as well as logo and apparel design.
In his free time, Ian enjoys physical fitness and bodybuilding, drawing and painting, writing, music, reading about science and philosophy, Godzilla movies, and epic pillow fights with his children.
