Lydia Hertz

Before joining Milwaukee Montessori School in the Spring of 2025, Ms. Lydia worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for seven years and has over a decade of experience working with young children. She is a warm, approachable presence in the classroom, building strong connections by engaging with students during their activities and encouraging meaningful conversations.

Ms. Lydia models a love of literature and the arts, often reading with students during rest time and participating in art projects alongside them. During storytime, she fosters a love of reading by discussing the stories, checking comprehension, making predictions, and asking thought-provoking questions.



Outside of school, Ms. Lydia is an avid reader, always finding time to read, no matter the place or moment. She also enjoys studying ballroom dance and exploring acrylic painting. Ms. Lydia is excited to be part of the MMS community and feels a strong connection to the school’s purpose and commitment to diversity—values that closely align with her own family experiences.
