Ms. Sophia Griffin joined Milwaukee Montessori School in August of 2026. Before coming to MMS, she first studied History and then pivoted to focus on Elementary & Integrated Special Education at the University of Minnesota Duluth.

Although her studies are paused, she plans to finish her degree down the line. Sophia brings experience in after-school care and tutoring across multiple subjects, as well as experience supporting kindergarten students during her time with the Boys & Girls Club. She loves spending time with children in the classroom, watching them grow and develop. She believes children are often far more capable and intelligent than they are given credit for and enjoys supporting their independence while meeting them where they are. These values are what drew her to MMS, as she feels the Montessori philosophy closely aligns with her own approach to working with children.

Outside of school, Sophia is a self-proclaimed coffee connoisseur and is always on the hunt for a new coffee shop where she can settle in with a good book. She especially enjoys fiction and is also an avid crafter, with knitting and crochet among her favorite hobbies.
